Bakelite-Cased Start Capacitor
It is a key component in the motor starting system to provide instantaneous starting current for single-phase asynchronous motors (or certain three-phase motors), helping the motor overcome the starting torque and achieve smooth startup.
It has the following characteristics:
High Temperature Resistance: withstand a long-term temperature of 120-150°C, it preventing the shell from deforming or melting due to high temperatures.
Excellent Insulation Performance: The volume resistivity of bakelite is greater than 10¹⁴Ω·cm, and its surface resistivity is greater than 10¹³Ω. This can effectively isolate the internal electrodes of the capacitor from external metal components (such as the motor housing) and prevent the risk of electric leakage.
High Mechanical Strength: Bakelite has high hardness and strong impact resistance.
Corrosion Resistance: It has a certain tolerance to humidity, dust, and mild chemical gases (such as kitchen oil fumes and weak corrosive gases in industrial environments).
It is suitable for use in multiple scenarios, including washing machine motors, electric fan motors, compressor motors, small water pump motors, blower motors, and woodworking electric saw motors, and small harvester motors and irrigation water pump motors.
